3L Tenth at Eldora UMP Fall Nationals Finale
Having finished third the previous two nights, Jeff had the luxury of not having to race his way into the main event on Saturday night as he was already locked in. Starting 14th in the $5,000 to win feature, the 3L moved up to 10th at the finish. A solid Fall Nationals weekend for the 3L team with three top tens against a very strong Modified field each night. -- Oct 4
Third Again at Second Night of Eldora UMP Fall Nationals
For the second consecutive night the 3L finished third at Eldora's UMP Fall Nationals. 109 Modifieds were on hand Friday night with Jeff clocking in third quickest in his qualifying group. He also finished third in his heat race. He started fifth in the feature. -- Oct 3
Third at Eldora UMP Fall Nationals Opening Night
The 3L team traveled to Ohio to participate in the three night UMP Fall Nationals event. 96 Modifieds were on hand for opening night on Thursday. Jeff qualified second in his group of 14 and was also second in his heat race. Starting fourth in the feature, the 3L led the race early and came home third at the finish. -- Oct 2
3L Grabs Sixth Win at Farmer City!
The 3L team might have hit on something good. A frustrating season of inconsistency has started to take a turn for the better as the 3L grabbed his sixth feature win of the season Friday night at Farmer City, his second consecutive victory. The 2L was also in action as he started fourth and finished seventh. -- Aug 1
3L WINS PRAIRIE DIRT CLASSIC AT FAIRBURY!!
Just call him "cake". For the third consecutive season, Jeff put the 3L in victory lane on Saturday of Prairie Dirt Classic weekend at Fairbury and collected $2,500 along with a delicious sheet cake. Leading all 30 laps, he held off a hard charging Jacob Poel to win by 0.373 secs. -- Jul 26
3L from 18th to 4th at Farmer City!
Jeff qualified second out of the twenty cars on hand Friday night at Farmer City. After qualifying, the team found a problem with the motor. Thanks to the help from the head engine builder of Bull Power Engines, the rocker was rebuilt and ready to race. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time in between qualifying and the heat race to get it fixed so the 3L missed his heat race. Starting in the back of the feature, Jeff rallied all the way up to fourth at the finish! -- Jun 27

3L Scores Fourth Win and Second Straight at Farmer City!
On a day that is considered unlucky, the 3L proved that superstition wrong. Starting second after winning his heat race, Jeff went on to score his fourth feature win of the season and second straight at Farmer City on Friday night. He drove Jeffrey's #20 car to the victory. The 2L was also in action on Friday. Justin was second in his heat race and seventh in the feature. -- Jun 13

3L Captures Special Midweek Race at Jacksonville!
The 3L team was in action Wednesday as the Modifieds raced in a special midweek show at Jacksonville. In heat race action, Jeff started fifth and moved up to second. Starting fourth in the feature, he battled with Matt Goulden and Dave Wietholder for the lead before finally taking it around halfway and went on to take his second win of the season. -- May 7
3L Picks Up First Feature Win of 2014 at Farmer City!
The 3L and 2L teams raced a regular show at Farmer City on Friday. Jeff qualified fifth out of 28 cars on hand. Justin qualified 17th. The 3L started second in his heat race and won while the 2L started sixth and finished sixth. Justin won the semi feature to advance into the main event. In the feature, Jeff started second and jumped to the lead early and never looked back, picking up his first win of the season. Justin started 16th and advanced a spot to get 15th. -- Apr 18
3L Opens 2014 Season with Eighth Place Run at LaSalle
After a long, cold winter, it was finally time to think spring as the 2014 racing season began for Leka Racing Saturday night at LaSalle. 36 Modifieds were on hand to battle for the $1,500 top prize in the annual Thaw Brawl. Jeff qualified second in his group and also ran second in his heat race. The name of the game on Saturday was keeping the car in one piece and the tires up as the track surface was very rough. The 3L survived to finish eighth. The team was happy with the car after the first night; a few tweaks and the car should be even better. -- Mar 29
